Gardening service

The origin of the gardening section dates back to 1983,  when a group of workers from La Fageda recovered the emblematic fountain of Sant Roc d’Olot. This space was in a pitiful state despite being one of the favorite recreation places for the people of Olot.

The exemplary restoration of the area led the town and La Fageda to sign an agreement to recover other natural areas of the municipality and to maintain landscaped areas. Thus was born the first team for the service, composed of nine people.

Since then, the oldest section of our social-business project has grown considerably. Today we are in charge of the maintenance of both public and private spaces in several municipalities of La Garrotxa. It consists of almost forty people, organized into nine teams, and since 2020 is located in a 1000 m² warehouse in the industrial park of the Sant Roc d’Olot neighbourhood.

It has the necessary technical and professional means that guarantee the correct development of its work and, as a result, a high degree of customer satisfaction.

The work of the gardeners in the city of Olot has often been worthy of Viles Florides awards, while there are several significant companies in the region among their clients.

They is also responsible for the conservation of the botanical gardens and the protected oak woods of the Park Nou in Olot, for the maintenance and cleaning of public spaces in the Natural Park of the La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone, and for the recovery and cleaning of Alta Garrotxa.
